Royal Desert Champions are expected to unleash a top order that includes the likes of Nicholas Pooran, Phil Salt and Sherfane Rutherford. Any team will struggle to match that sort of big-hitting firepower, and all RDC need is for one of those players to hit a big innings at any given time in such a short format. Chris Jordan and Luke Wood help form an English bowling core, with Pakistan’s Naseem Shah providing extreme pace.
Emirates Eagles counter the RDC top order with Trent Boult, whose quick left-arm bowling will be difficult to attack early on. While they also contain some good spin-bowling options, including Chris Green and Noor Ahmad, slow bowling on what is likely to be a dead surface may not reap much reward against this hard-hitting RDC side.
