Kathmandu Gorkhas are inside the playoff places with two wins from three. They also boast a strong net-run-rate, though it is bettered by table-toppers Lumbini Lions, who continue to put wins on the board, most recently defeating Janakpur Bolts by 16 runs. Again, the Lumbini bowlers were excellent, restricting their opponents to only 133 runs while chasing 150 to win.
However, this latest match sees them take on one of their toughest challenges yet, in the form of opener David Warner. The long-time former Australia international guided Kathmandu safely to a nine-wicket win in their last game, scoring 44 not out from 24 balls against Biratnagar Kings. That was a warning sign for the Lumbini bowlers as to the quality Warner possesses, not to mention his generational power. Back Warner to make an impact against the reigning champions, scoring at least 20 runs, regardless of whether his side are batting first or second.
