Swansea City come into this one on the back of a 1-0 victory away at relegation-bound Leicester City last weekend, courtesy of a 53rd minute winner scored by Slovenia international striker Zan Vipotnik. That ended what was a four-match winless run of form for the mid-table Jacks.
They now face an extremely impressive Southampton side that continued to close the gap on the top two and the automatic promotion spots in the Championship in midweek with a 3-0 hammering of a previously solid Blackburn Rovers side at St Mary’s, ensuring that they have now enjoyed seven successive victories across all competitions.
As Saints prepare for their FA Cup semi-final appearance next weekend, they are firm favourites to see off Swansea in South Wales here.
