It has been an immensely frustrating end to the campaign for Strasbourg as they welcome a similarly frustrated Monaco side to Stade de la Meinau.

Strasbourg vs Monaco prediction

Gary O'Neil will be receiving a fair bit of criticism from supporters of the BlueCo owned Strasbourg after their Ligue 1 season was ditched in favour of cup efforts. Those cup efforts have resulted in semi-final losses in both the Coupe de France, against a poor Nice side, and the UEFA Europa Conference League, against Rayo Vallecano.

Sebastian Pocognoli had massively improved Monaco but the Monegasque have hit a tough patch of form as they drift from the top four. Their 1-0 loss at home to Lille last week means that they have now managed just one victory in their last five matches in Ligue 1.

As they travel to the Alsace region, Monaco will fancy themselves to defeat a Strasbourg side that may well be feeling the heat from their own home crowd.

Strasbourg vs Monaco tip: Double chance - Monaco to win or draw
