St. Pauli vs Wolfsburg prediction

The three-horse race to avoid relegation to the second tier comes to a head this weekend with two of the Bundesliga’s current bottom three facing off amid what will be a white hot Millerntor-Stadion atmosphere. Whilst each of the bottom are locked together on 26 points, Wolfsburg are in the box seat as it stands, sitting in 16th-place knowing that victory ensures they avoid automatic relegation and will instead face a relegation play-off. But a draw could send them down if 17th-placed Heidenheim win their game and defeat definitely condemns them to 2. Bundesliga as St. Pauli would overtake them.

For St. Pauli, the equation is simple, only a win gives them a chance of dodging those automatic relegation spots, so they will need to go all-out for three points even if the scores are level heading into the final 15 minutes of the game. With the home crowd roaring them on, it would be no surprise if we are in for some late drama when considering the high stakes and knowing a draw does nothing for St. Pauli. With that in mind, back at least one goal to be scored from the 76th minute onwards.

St. Pauli vs Wolfsburg tip: Goal after 75.58
