THE LOWDOWN
ARGENTINA
Argentina were hugely underwhelming in their Rugby World Cup opener as they failed to capitalise on an early red card handed out to opponents England. The Pumas failed to cross the whitewash until the final minute of the game despite the numerical advantage as they fell to a 27-10 loss.
SAMOA
Samoa were big winners over Chile in their first game of the tournament and will aim to build on that in what is likely to be a pivotal game in the quest to make it out of the pool along with England. The Samoans were too strong for the Chileans as they amassed 43 points in that success.
THE PREDICTION
Argentina have had a long time to dwell on their loss to England and will aim to right the wrongs of that disappointing effort. The Pumas came into the tournament with high hopes of causing an upset or two but were really poor against the English and need to be much better here. Samoa will be no pushovers in what is likely to be a physical contest and with plenty on the line in this encounter, it could be a tense affair so it is worth siding with Samoa on the handicap.
