Romania and Wales have missed out on the FIFA World Cup this summer as they now face off against each other in a friendly after losing in the UEFA playoffs in March.

Romania vs Wales prediction

Romania were beaten 1-0 by Turkiye in their UEFA playoff semi-final for the FIFA World Cup back in March. The Romanians most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Georgia in a friendly in their most recent outing in Tbilisi the other day.

They now face a Wales side that, coached by Craig Bellamy, were beaten on penalties by eventual qualifiers Bosnia-Herzegovina in their playoff semi-final. The Welsh have since shared 1-1 draws with Northern Ireland and Ghana.

Bellamy has said he will stay on as Wales coach ahead of UEFA EURO 2028 and they have been fun to watch, while Romania are a lot more proactive than previous iterations and so both teams scoring would appear a decent bet for this one on Saturday.
