The prediction
Richmond (16th) finally gave their supporters a reason to smile, snapping a long losing streak with a comprehensive 49-point victory over the West Coast Eagles (105-56). The win will provide a vital confidence boost for a young and developing list.
Collingwood (1st) had their winning streak brought to a stunning halt, suffering 79-78 loss to Fremantle at the MCG. Despite controlling the match for long periods, they were overrun late, showing a rare moment of vulnerability under pressure.
