Real Sociedad preview: Fun La Real

Ever since the appointment of former Hoffenheim boss Pellegrino Matarazzo in the mid-season winter break, Real Sociedad have been much-improved, having reached the final of the Copa del Rey next month.

The team that they will play in that final down at La Cartuja in Seville is Atletico Madrid. They were also their most recent opponents, with La Real succumbing to a fun 3-2 defeat at the Metropolitano last weekend.

Osasuna preview: Push for Europe

Under the management of former Mirandes boss Alessio Lisci, Osasuna begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting just a point behind Real Sociedad in the race for a top seven or eight finish and potential European qualification in La Liga.

The visitors most recently fought back from 2-0 down at home to Real Mallorca at El Sadar in Pamplona in dramatic circumstances with an 89th minute goal from Kike Barja and then a 94th minute equaliser scored by Ante Budimir.

Real Sociedad vs Osasuna prediction

At the start of this season, Osasuna struggled for much fluency but, with some impressive additions such as Raul Moro and Victor Munoz, they have become one of the better teams to watch in Spain’s top-flight. Matarazzo, on the other hand, has ensured Real Sociedad are once again one of the more intense and fun teams to watch and so both teams scoring seems a good bet for this one.
