Punjab vs Odisha prediction

Punjab are hoping to get off to a winning start under Pavlos Dermitzakis, who has taken charge following countryman Panagiotis Dilmperis’ departure for Mohun Bagan SG. You would expect that there has been a smooth transition and the players should be chomping at the bit to get out onto the pitch and make a statement here against a weaker opponent.

Odisha were disappointing over the course of last season, finishing in 11th place with 22 goals conceded. Only relegated Mohammedan conceded more goals and such defensive instability won’t have been easy to rectify. It’s not a quick fix and Punjab should be in a position to capitalise on that. That makes Dermitzakis’ side well worth backing to come out on top in this encounter.
