Nottingham Forest Team News: Danilo back
In his pre-match press conference, Nuno said there were 'no major issues' ahead of this week's massive clash with Liverpool so that would suggest there are no fresh injury concerns for the hosts.
Danilo, who suffrered a broken ankle on the opening day of the campaign, is now fit and available for the squad but fellow midfielder Ibrahim Sangare does remain sidelined for Forest.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Dominguez, Anderson; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood

Liverpool Team News: Nunez suspension
Rumours surrounding Federico Chiesa's future persist but the Italy international came off the bench and scored against Accrington Stanley at the weekend, albeit his involvement in the Premier League remains doubtful.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Gakpo

Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Prediction
Nuno Espirito Santo’s Nottingham Forest come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Luton Town at the City Ground at the weekend in the third round of the FA Cup thanks to goals from Ryan Yates and Ramon Sosa. Forest have now enjoyed seven successive victories across all competitions after six straight league wins propelled them into a title race with dreams of a fairytale title becoming legitimate if they are victorious this week. Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Manchester United in their first game of 2025 before losing to Tottenham Hotspur in the first-leg of their EFL Cup semi-final last week. They did end that mini winless run by hammering Accrington Stanley by four goals to nil the other day. This could be quite a tense affair with a controlled Liverpool side running up against a reactive Forest team expected to limit and deny the Reds’ attackers some space so a lower scoring affair is expected.
Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool Tip: Under 3.5 goals
