Norwich City will believe they should be challenging for promotion this season as they begin against what is likely to be a strong Millwall side at Carrow Road this weekend.

Norwich vs Millwall prediction

Having faded into mid-table obscurity last season, Norwich City have since poached Bristol City boss Liam Manning and the Canaries have also spent relatively heavily over the summer transfer window, albeit Borja Sainz has been sold to Porto and there is still rumour that Josh Sargent will also depart the club.

They face a Millwall side that narrowly missed out on the top six and the playoff places on the final day of last season. Former Norwich boss Alex Neil is in charge at The Den, and he has been given a squad that would appear to ideally suit them, and another push for promotion is to be expected.

With a lot of hype and a need for time to gel, Norwich may underwhelm on the opening day, and that represents an excellent opportunity for Millwall in Norfolk this weekend.

Norwich vs Millwall tip: Double chance – Millwall to win or draw
