Mexico vs Australia prediction

Former Real Mallorca boss Javier Aguirre has helped Mexico show some signs of improvement of late. El Tri will believe they have a good chance to go deep this summer as they attempt to refine their plans ahead of the opening game against South Africa at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

Australia, under the management of former Crystal Palace centre-back Tony Popovic, have majorly improved since Popovic’s appointment. The Socceroos won a couple of games in the FIFA Series in March, edging past Cameroon and then hammering Curacao by five goals to one in Sydney.

The Australians are an experienced outfit and may be awkward to play against but the Mexicans have to remain favourites with their home advantage.

Mexico vs Australia tip: Mexico to win & under 3.5 goals
