The prediction

Melbourne (14th) suffered a disappointing 90-77 loss to the Adelaide Crows in Round 17.

North Melbourne (16th) were on the receiving end of a 49-point defeat at the hands of the Western Bulldogs (134-85).

Veteran forward Jake Melksham was a rare highlight for Melbourne against the Crows, kicking an accurate 4 goals straight from 8 disposals.

For North Melbourne, key forward Nick Larkey continued his excellent season, booting five goals in their loss to the Bulldogs.

In one of the upsets of the season, North Melbourne stunned Melbourne by 59 points when they last met in Round 2 of this year. The Demons had won the previous four meetings prior to that surprise result.

Melbourne will be desperate for revenge after their shock loss to the Kangaroos earlier in the season. North will be hoping for a repeat performance to jag another win in an otherwise lost season for both sides.
