Marseille vs Rennes prediction

After yet another heavy era of investment undermined by chaos on and off the pitch, Marseille have fallen way short of their pre-season expectations once again. They did manage to earn a slender and unconvincing 1-0 winners away at a struggling Le Havre side last weekend.

They now face a Stade Rennais side that have been excellent since the appointment of Franck Haise. However, they may have just run out of steam at the wrong time as they sit just outside of the top three or four and the UEFA Champions League spots due to a recent 4-2 defeat to fellow contenders Olympique Lyonnais.

Rennes head to the Velodrome likely to feel they can run riot against a Marseille side that will not have the crowd on their side from the start down on the south coast.

Marseille vs Rennes tip: Double chance - Rennes to win or draw
