Malmo vs Panathinaikos prediction

Malmo have been underwhelming domestically for the last few months and they have started the UEFA Europa League campaign by collecting just one point from their opening three matches. They most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Hacken in the Allsvenskan as they sit seventh in the table.

They now face a Panathinaikos side that have, since last playing in this competition, taken the decision to appoint Rafa Benitez. The Athenians had been beaten 3-1 by Robin van Persie’s Feyenoord a couple of weeks ago, and they were also beaten 1-0 by Volos in the Greek Super League at the weekend.

Panathinaikos have some good players and should become tough to beat for this competition, and they are favourites but the Rafa Benitez style means it may not be a thriller for the neutral in Sweden.

Malmo vs Panathinaikos tip: Panathinaikos to win & under 3.5 goals
