Malaysia vs Cabo Verde prediction

Malaysia, under the management of former Australia assistant coach Peter Cklamovski, most recently began the third round of their AFC Asian Cup qualification campaign with a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Nepal during the March international break to mean they have now suffered just one defeat in their last seven matches.

They now face a Cabo Verde side that remain upwardly mobile in international football terms and they sit at the top of Group D of African qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, above Cameroon. That is thanks to back-to-back victories in March against Angola and Mauritius a couple of months ago.

Malaysia have got a steady recent record but they are now facing a step up in terms of the quality of their opponents in that time and Cabo Verde are firm favourites for this one.
