Magda Linette vs Dayana Yastremska prediction

Magda Linette had a much-improved performance in Nottingham last week. After an early exit to Bernarda Pera at the Libema Open a week earlier, Linette won three matches in a row as she reached the semi-finals, which included a fine straight sets win over second seed Clara Tauson in the last eight. Unfortunately for the Pole, she would lose 6-4 6-4 to Dayana Yastremska in the last four but has the chance for revenge straight away here.

Yastremska made a very strong start to her grass court preparations as she made it all the way to the final at the same event. She put up a fight in the final but fell to a 6-4 7-5 defeat to McCartney Kessler. 

The Ukrainian extended her winning run to 5-1 over Linette last week and 2-0 on grass. Other than their match at Nottingham last week, they also faced each other on grass at the Birmingham Classic three years ago with Yastremska comfortably winning 6-4 6-3. Linette may put up more of a fight and take a set off the Ukrainian but it’s difficult to look beyond Yastremska after her victory last week and her dominant head-to-head record.
