Key Stats

  • Madagascar have won four of their last six World Cup qualifying matches
  • Chad have lost eight and drawn two of their ten World Cup qualifying matches since their last FWCQ victory which was a 1-0 home win against Egypt in November 2015.

Madagascar vs Chad Prediction

Madagascar come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of the Central African Republic at Stade Larbi Zaouli in the neutral venue of Casablanca in Morocco. The Madagascans won that game courtesy of a first-half stoppage-time goal from Warren Caddy and a second-half strike by Arnaud Randrianantenaina.

They now face a Chad side that are among the weakest on the African continent, and they had started FIFA World Cup qualification with six successive defeats. However, they managed to throw a cat amongst the pigeons the other day, scoring late on to share a 1-1 draw with Ghana the other day.

Chad have given Madagascar a real chance of catching Ghana at the top-of-the-table, and the Madagascans would have to remain firm favourites in Casablanca this week.

Madagascar vs Chad Tip: Madagascar to win to nil
