Luxembourg vs Slovakia prediction

Luxembourg began UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 3-1 defeat at home to Northern Ireland the other day. Jamie Reid gave Northern Ireland a seventh minute lead before Aidam Dardari equalised before half-time. Shea Charles re-established the Northern Irish lead and then Justin Devenny sealed Luxembourg’s loss.

They now face a Slovakia side that, coached by Maurizio Sarri’s former Napoli assistant Francesco Calzona, have been entertaining to watch throughout his tenure, and their improving squad managed to defeat Germany by two goals to nil in Germany the other day, courtesy of goals from David Hancko and David Strelec.

Slovakia will head to Luxembourg as the firm favourites for this one, but the hosts do have the ability to make most games quite entertaining for the neutral.

Luxembourg vs Slovakia tip: Slovakia to win & over 2.5 goals
