Lithuania vs Finland Prediction

Lithuania, who endured a tough UEFA Nations League campaign in the autumn in which they suffered six defeats from six in League C, now take on a Finland side that are looking to rebuild under new management following their automatic relegation from League B the other month.

The Lithuanians kicked off their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with an eighth successive defeat as they suffered a slender 1-0 loss to Poland in a hard-fought performance in the Polish capital, Warsaw, with Poland captain and La Liga top scorer Robert Lewandowski scoring an 81st minute winner.

Finland saw the end of the Markku Kanerva reign in November and he has been replaced by Jacob Friis. His reign in charge of ‘The Eagle-owls’, as they are nicknamed, began with a 1-0 defeat of Malta in Ta Qali the other day thanks to a 38th minute Oliver Antman winner before Kurt Shaw was sent off mid-way through the second-half.

This is a clash between two limited sides and the likelihood, therefore, is for quite a low-scoring affair, albeit the Finnish would have to remain favourites for this one in Vilnius.

Lithuania vs Finland Tip: Finland to win & under 3.5 goals
