Lille vs Auxerre prediction

Bruno Genesio and his Lille side have been excellent in the last few months and a 1-0 win away at Monaco last weekend means they begin this weekend's final round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the top three and the UEFA Champions League spots by a solitary point.

They now face an Auxerre side that have managed to fairly miraculously escape beginning the 34th match day in the relegation playoff place, of which they have occupied for the majority of this campaign. They sit just above Nice on goal difference after a victory over Nice last week, backing up a win away at Angers.

Auxerre appeared doomed for an end of season playoff but have shown some resolve. That may allow them to bloody the nose of Lille but it would be a surprise if the hosts' had their 13-match unbeaten run of form ended at Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Lille vs Auxerre tip: Lille to win & under 3.5 goals
