This is arguably the biggest mis-match in UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as a very poor Liechtenstein now welcome an admittedly confusing Belgium side.

  • Belgium are unbeaten in their last 15 World Cup qualifying matches away from home (W12 D3).

Liechtenstein vs Belgium prediction

In the last few years, Liechtenstein have sunk to being probably the worst team in Europe now, behind San Marino. The minnows have started their campaign with three defeats from three, failing to score and having conceded eight. They most recently suffered a 4-0 defeat at home to Scotland in an international friendly.

Now under the management of former Roma boss Rudi Garcia, Belgium head to Liechtenstein seeking to find a new formula and a new team that is still built around the likes of Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne. The Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by North Macedonia in June before a 4-3 win over Wales.

Belgium, stretching back to the March international break, have been very unconvincing under Rudi Garcia thus far, but they should still win this one quite comfortably.
