Polish champions Lech Poznan come up against one of the favourites for the UEFA Europa League this season, Bayer Leverkusen, in the league phase on Thursday.

Lech Poznan vs Bayer Leverkusen prediction
Lech Poznan began their UEFA Europa League league phase campaign with a 4-0 hammering at the hands of last year’s UEFA Europa Conference League winners Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last month. Lech returned form the international break with a 4-1 defeat of Slask Wroclaw in the Ekstraklasa at the weekend.
Following the appointment of former Toulouse boss Carlos Martinez Novell, 2024 UEFA Europa League runners-up Bayer Leverkusen have been inconsistent at the start of this season. They did, though, begin the league phase of this competition with a 2-0 defeat of Slovenian champions Celje a few weeks ago.
Leverkusen weren’t overly convincing against Celje and Lech may well bloody their nose this week but the Germans remain favourites for this one in Poland.
