Lecce vs Juventus prediction

Both these two teams need the points for very different reasons. Lecce are fighting for their lives to avoid relegation down to Serie B, whilst Juventus are in the midst of a Champions League battle that will likely go down to the wire with just a point separating them from fifth-placed AS Roma. Although Juve are unbeaten in their last nine league matches, they are coming off the back of consecutive draws including a frustrating one at home to Verona.

Lecce meanwhile, are just about treading water in 17th-place with a five-point-gap between them and the relegation places. They gave their chances of survival a huge boost by most recently beating rock bottom Pisa 1-2 on the road, meaning they come back home with some much-needed momentum.

When taking into account the stakes involved here, it would be no surprise to see a low-scoring contest. Before their win over Pisa, Lecce had scored just once in four games whilst each of Juventus’ last seven fixtures have seen under 2.5 goals. That statistic cannot be ignored with Lecce no doubt prioritising making themselves as difficult as possible to break down for Luciano Spalletti’s men. Regardless of the final result, backing the same outcome between these two sides.

Lecce vs Juventus tip: Under 2.5 goals
