Lazio supporters have become extremely frustrated with the ownership and presidency of Claudio Lotito. They are protesting his presence and threatening not to turn up to this one. Lazio began the 2026-27 Serie A season with a shock win, though, as a Davide Frattesi strike gave them a 1-0 victory against Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara last week.
Genoa massively improved following the appointment of Roma legend Daniele De Rossi last season but they are still expected to struggle against relegation this season. The Genovese succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at home to Napoli on the opening day due to goals scored by Kevin De Bruyne and Antonio Vergara.
Genoa remain one of the weaker sides in Serie A and, while it may not be thrilling nor convincing, perhaps siding with Lazio to continue their surprisingly strong start is the way to go for this one in the capital city.
