Janice Tjen vs Francesca Jones prediction

Janice Tjen’s rise and rise continues after she booked her spot in a maiden tour semi-final against in-form Alexandra Eala.

The Indonesian dominated with her leaping forehand and was too much for the tiring third seed, whose Guadalajara exploits finally caught up with her in a 6-4 6-1 defeat.

Tjen will now face Great Britain’s Fran Jones after the sixth seed upset second seed Solana Sierra 6-3 6-4. 

It feels like Tjen has all the momentum right now but Jones is resilient and will fight for a spot in her fifth final of the year. 

Jones currently has the higher ranking but it feels like Tjen is ready for a break-out moment at the top tier and this may well be it.
