Jacob Fearnley arrives in Eastbourne on the back of a positive run to the quarter-finals at Queens. 

The British number two faces a tough opener against rising Italian star Flavio Cobolli, who is now operating at a career-high of 24 in the world. 

The 23-year-old reached the quarter-finals in Halle last time out and looks like breaking into the world’s top 20 at some point this year. 

Fearnley will have the crowd support but Cobolli has only lost two of his last 11 matches and both of those were to world number three Alexander Zverev. 

It could be another one that goes to the wire, but we think the Italian may have the edge.
