Iga Swiatek vs Caty Mcnally prediction

Historically not her best surface, Iga Swiatek nevertheless made the final of the grass-court Bad Homburg Open in the run-up to Wimbledon, and began in positive fashion at SW19 with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over tricky customer Polina Kudermetova.

The Pole won an impressive 81% of points behind her second serve and converted all three of her break points in a clinical display against the Russian.

It was a similarly accomplished start for Caty McNally, who overcame wildcard wildcard entry Jodie Burrage 6-3, 6-1 on Tuesday.

The American is in the main draw due to her protected ranking, and this is only her second tournament since early April in what has been an injury-plagued couple of years on tour.

McNally is a much better player than her current ranking of 208 suggests, but she is not match-sharp yet and will surely struggle against an opponent of the calibre of Swiatek.
