Hungary are seeking to build on a strong start to 2026 as they take on a Greece side that could do with rediscovering their form quite soon in Budapest.

Hungary vs Greece prediction

Gyori's Bolton Wanderers loanee Szabolcs Schon scored the only goal of the game as the Hungarians began with a slender 1-0 defeat of Slovenia at the Puskas Arena to kick off the calendar year.

Greece had been impressive for 12-18 months or so but a 1-0 defeat to Paraguay the other day backed up an underwhelming qualifying campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Home advantage should see Hungary take the attacking imitative, while the Greeks, at their best, are quite fun to watch, so both teams scoring may well be a good bet for this one.

Hungary vs Greece tip: Both teams to score
