The prediction

The Gold Coast Suns have been involved in a number of close and exciting matches this season and last week against the Western Bulldogs was no different. They prevailed by 10 points in the end 106-96 after a late Bulldogs push almost got them over the line. They remain in Darwin this week for a Thursday night clash against Hawthorn in what shapes as another entertaining contest. The Suns will like their chances against the Hawks having a week to adjust to the tropical conditions and playing a brand of football that is stacking up against the best sides.

For Hawthorn they come off a 35-point win over the Melbourne Demons. It was another tradesmen like performance from the Hawks and whilst the final margin was comfortable they were certainly far from their best in this one. Jack Gunston continues to be the leading goal kicker for the Hawks despite some rare accuracy issues last week and he will be a focal point again against the Suns. 

The Suns have won four of their past five contests against the Hawks, including one victory in Darwin.

We think the Suns can cause a minor upset in this one considering both their adjustment to the top end and the form that they have been displaying over the past month or so.
