Gibraltar come into this one on the back of a 4-0 demolition of the British Virgin Islands, which was their biggest victory since becoming a member of UEFA or of FIFA. The Gibraltarians had been on a 12-match losing streak prior to that victory.
They now face a Cayman Islands side that, under the management of Colin Rowe, are ranked 195th in the world. They most recently did earn some decent results in the 2025/26 COBCACAF Series, drawing with the BVI and then beating the Bahamas.
It is often difficult to evaluate how good a European minnow is against minnows from other confederations but Gibraltar do appear to be a cut above the likes of the Cayman Islands and they should win at Europa Point in Gibraltar.
