Expert prediction for Ghana’s chances at FIFA World Cup 2026
Whilst Ghana has the experience of qualifying for the knockout stage on more than one occasion at the FIFA World Cup, they are not one of the stronger African nations on paper heading into FIFA World Cup 2026. They’ll hope that a new coach in Carlos Queiroz can organise them defensively and spark an upturn in performances, but the Black Stars have been dealt a tough hand in Group L.
In England and Croatia, Ghana face two European nations currently inside the top 15 of FIFA’s world rankings. England especially, should wind up too good for Queiroz’s side in their group stage fixture, whilst the always competitive Croatia are a strong opponent to face in the final round of games. Assuming both those matches end in defeat for Ghana, it could lead to them being eliminated with goals likely hard to come by, even against Panama.
