Coached by Willy Sagnol, Georgia extended their unbeaten run of form to three matches with a 1-1 draw against Romania the other day, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia expected to be more involved here after helping Paris Saint-Germain defend their UEFA Champions League crown last week.
They now face a Bahrain side that are currently ranked 91st in the world by FIFA. The Bahrainis haven’t played since being eliminated at the group stage from the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup at the back end of last year.
Bahrain have been struggling in international football for a while now and Georgia will be expected to win this one in Tbilisi, especially with their home advantage.
