A naturalised Qatari, having been born in Portugal, right-back Pedro Miguel was arguably Qatar’s standout performer at FIFA World Cup 2022 when they hosted the tournament. Now at the age of 35, he is again a key part of the Qatari defence, the former Cabo Verde youth international has over 100 caps for The Maroon One, having begun his career at Farense before stints at Aljustrelense and then Al Ahli, moving to the dominant force in Qatari football, Al Sadd, in 2016.
