With naturally conservative coach Julen Lopetegui at the helm, Qatar will be reliant on their defence holding tight this summer and Boualem Khoukhi will be essential to that. 35-year-old Algeria-born Khoukhi began his professional career at Al Arabi in 2009 but he has continued to be a key man for Qatari giants Al Sadd since 2017.
