In 2018, Jurgen Locadia completed a then club-record £15 million move from PSV Eindhoven to Brighton and Hove Albion. His checkered injury record at PSV continued at Brighton and he never thrived in the Premier League, with striker, once on the radar of the Dutch national side and even named in their preliminary squad for FIFA World Cup 2014, Locadia made his Curacao debut in 2023. While not necessarily anywhere near the heights he promised nearly a decade ago, the 32-year-old striker provides much-needed pedigree in the final third for Dick Advocaat’s FIFA World Cup debutants.
