Curacao manager Dick Advocaat has announced his 26-man squad for FIFA World Cup 2026.

Heading into their first ever FIFA World Cup, Dick Advocaat has returned to the Curacao hot seat after a few months away and the former Netherlands boss has named a 26-man squad that is heavily influenced by the Dutch.

In fact, all 26 of their squad were born in the Netherlands with 12 of them playing their football there, across the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie.

Their experience comes right in the middle of the park with former Aston Villa man Leandro Bacuna set to partner his brother and former Rangers midfielder Juninho Bacuna.

Once the subject of a £15 million move to Brighton and Hove Albion, former PSV Eindhoven forward Jurgen Locadia is the star name in attack but Curacao will likely be more reliant on the likes of Middlesbrough forward Sontje Hansen and the versatile Gervane Kastaneer in the final third.

Former Manchester United man Tahith Chong, now at Sheffield United, is also set to be a key man for Curacao with the tiny Caribbean island also boasting some experience and pedigree in the back-line.

Joshua Brenet, who was capped twice for the Netherlands back in 2016, will be key alongside the likes of Armando Obispo and Shurandy Sambo.

There are no major surprise absentees from the Curacao squad with Livingston forward Joshua Zimmerman the man that was perhaps closest to breaking back into the squad.
