Frosinone preview: Steady start

On the opening day of the season, Frosinone were competitive against Juventus but did come up short in a 1-0 loss to the Bianconeri before they then put in an impressive performance to defeat Fiorentina last weekend.

At the Artemio Franchi in Florence, Frosinone won by three goals to nil with a brace scored by Antonio Raimondo as well as a Giacomo Bracaglia strike in Tuscany to give the newly-promoted outfit an impressive early away win.

Venezia preview: Venetian frustration

Venezia, with the backing of American investors Oak View Group, spent heavily in the summer transfer window in order to competitive this season, following their Serie B title-winning campaign in the 2025-26 season.

The Venetians began this season with a 2-0 defeat at home to Lecce before then losing by the same scoreline at San Siro against AC Milan ahead of a 2-1 loss to Udinese in the round of 32 of the Coppa Italia in midweek.

Frosinone team news: Couple of doubts

Frosinone are dealing with a couple of fresh injury doubts for this one as both Fares Ghedjemis and Romano Schmid are dealing with calf issues.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Palmisani; Oyono, Monterisi, Calvani, Bracaglia; Calo, Masini; Fini, Schmid, Kvernadze; Raimondo

Unavailable:

Questionable: Ghedjemis (Injured), Schmid (Injured)

Venezia team news: Several doubts

Venezia head down to the capital city with a couple of injury doubts as Matias Moreno is potentially sidelined alongside Bartol Franjic and new signing Pasquale Mazzocchi.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Stankovic; Schingtienne, Bella-Kotchap, Richie Sagrado; Hainaut, Kike Perez, Busio, Basic, Haps; Adams, John Yeboah

Unavailable: Sverko (Injured), Adorante (Injured)

Questionable: Matias Moreno (Injured), Franjic (Injured), Mazzocchi (Injured)

Frosinone vs Venezia prediction

Home advantage should ensure Frosinone are once again on the front foot here, as they were against both Juventus and then away from home against Fiorentina. They finished below Venezia in Serie B last season but appear to have taken to the top-flight a lot better than their opponents and, with their home advantage, should perhaps be the team to be sided with in Italy’s capital city.

Frosinone vs Venezia tip: Double chance – Frosinone to win or draw
