The prediction

Fremantle (6th) is one of the hottest teams in the competition, having won their last five consecutive matches. In Round 15, they recorded a powerful 41-point victory over Essendon (104-63), showcasing a formidable defence and potent attack.

Fremantle midfielder Caleb Serong was at his brilliant best in the win, dominating the game on his way to 35 disposals, 5 tackles, and 2 crucial goals in a best-on-ground performance. Look for another big possession game from him.

St Kilda (15th) have been inconsistent, as shown by their three losses in five. They are coming off a spirited but ultimately unsuccessful effort in Round 15, going down to ladder-leaders Collingwood 108-74.

Ruckman Rowan Marshall will need to be at his influential best. In the loss to Collingwood, he battled hard against a dominant opposition, finishing with 20 disposals, 32 hit-outs, and a goal.

While Fremantle has been in superb form, St Kilda holds a significant psychological advantage. In their most recent encounter in Round 8 of this season, the Saints produced a stunning performance to thrash the Dockers 94-33 at Marvel Stadium.

Fremantle will be desperate to avenge that humiliating loss and continue their charge towards the finals. However, St Kilda has proven they have the game plan to undo the Dockers. Expect a fiery contest, with Fremantle's home-ground advantage being a decisive factor.
