With Uruguay having confirmed automatic qualification to the World Cup thanks to a vital 1-0 win over Peru last time out, there will be a temptation for Diego Alonso’s men to take their foot off the gas here, and the manager may even choose to give some youngsters a runout. The situation is much different for Chile though, who only have a very slim chance of reaching a play-off spot as they would need to leapfrog both Colombia and Peru on this final round of games. They were heavily beaten by Brazil a few days ago so they need to respond here, and it would be no surprise to see both teams find the net in what could become a desperate situation for Chile late in the game.
