PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Norway: Pettersen; Sostevold, Mjelde, Thorisdottir, Blakstad; Eikeland, Maanum, Engen, Reiten; Graham, Hegerberg, Hansen

Northern Ireland: Burns; Magee, Nelson, McFadden, Burrows, Vance; Furness, Callaghan, Caldwell; K. McGuinness, Magill

THE PREDICTION

A historic occasion for Northern Ireland lies ahead at St Mary’s Stadium as they make their major tournament debut. However, they will unsurprisingly come into this match as rank outsiders against Norway, who will be able to call upon the formidable Ada Hegerberg once again after her self-enforced five-year absence from the international setup. Lyon striker Hegerberg is one of the best players in the world and no doubt has eyes on making up for lost time, starting against Northern Ireland. The expectation is that Norway will win this match by at least two clear goals with Hegerberg getting on the scoresheet.
