THE PREDICTION
Marseille will be hoping that the Europa Conference League provides them with ideal platform to bounce back after being beaten 0-1 by Monaco in Ligue 1 this past weekend. Basel won’t make things easy for them though, with the Swiss side comfortably winning Group H without losing. On the back of thrashing Qarabag 6-1 on aggregate over two legs in the last round, Marseille have shown their offensive potency in this competition and home advantage being in their favour is another factor in their favour. However, you have to go all the way back to November of last year for when Basel last failed to score in any fixture, so backing both teams to score looks a shrewd move here.
