THE PREDICTION
That elusive Champions League trophy still eludes Pep Guardiola’s Man City but they are still in the hunt this season and they now have to make it past the most successful club in the competition’s history. Real Madrid’s aura in the Champions League is unmatched, and after holding off another Premier League side in the form of Chelsea in the quarter-finals, they will not be intimidated by the prospect of facing this talented City side. The hosts have been defensively excellent in the knockout stages though, having not conceded a goal since the group stage, and they are more than capable of controlling the game in this first leg. Under 2.5 goals could well be the play here, with both sides approaching this one cautiously.
