The quadruple may be off for Liverpool but finishing off the campaign with the Champions League trophy would cap off what is arguably the greatest season in the history of the decorated club. Standing in their way though is the most successful team in the history of the competition, and the manner in which Real Madrid have reached the final has given rise to the belief that it is fate that they should win it. Led by the irrepressible Karim Benzema in what has been a career-defining season for the Frenchman, the Spanish side will pose a huge threat to Jurgen Klopp’s men, and Los Blancos invariably find the net in these huge games. Liverpool, though, with revenge on their minds after their defeat to Real in the 2017-18 final, are the favourites to clinch their seventh European Cup/Champions League crown. Whichever way it swings though, both teams scoring looks likely given the quality of attacking talent on the pitch.
