Carlo Ancelotti’s future remains uncertain with the Brazilian expected to depart Los Blancos at the end of this season to take charge of the Brazilian national side. Real Madrid have had a summer of squad turnover with club legend and captain Karim Benzema surprisingly leaving the Bernabeu and joining Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League on a free transfer.
Fran Garcia, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Arda Guler and Joselu all joined the club but their newest galactico recruit has stolen the headlines. Jude Bellingham has five goals and one assist in his first four Liga matches, including the pivotal winning goals in back-to-back late wins against Getafe and Celta recently after also getting man of the match awards in Madrid’s 2-0 win over Athletic and 3-1 victory against Almeria.
REAL SOCIEDAD
Imanol Aguacil has led Real Sociedad to three successive impressive starts to a La Liga season before drifting away and usually finishing outside of the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots. La Real, though, managed to hold on to a top four spot last season but they have lost some key players over the summer such as David Silva and Alexander Sorloth.
Takefusa Kubo has grown even more at the start of this season as Aguacil’s Basque men try and maintain an impressive status in Spain’s top-flight. They come into this on the back of beginning their season with back-to-back 1-1 draws against Girona and Celta. Since those draws they have shared a goalless draw with newly-promoted Las Palmas before defeating Granada by five goals to three.

THE PREDICTION
Real Madrid have not performed well this season. They were comfortable against Athletic and Almeria but both of those teams were dreadful before scraping past with dramatic winners against Celta and Getafe. They now face a Real Sociedad side that remain unbeaten and, especially at the start of a campaign, make life difficult for pretty much everyone. Madrid are close to dropping points and this weekend seems more likely than any other.
