THE LOWDOWN

JUVENTUS

In what is his second stint in charge, which appears to be coming to an end this summer, Massimiliano Allegri has endured a difficult spell with Juventus as they fizzle out to the end of the season as they focus on the final of the Coppa Italia against Atalanta. The Old Lady are comfortably tucked inside the top five and the UEFA Champions League spots.

The Bianconeri dropped points again last weekend as they shared a 1-1 draw against Roma in Turin. That result, in which Bremer cancelled out Romelu Lukaku’s opener at the Stadio Olimpico, means that Juve have, quite astonishingly, managed just three victories in their last 16 matches across all competitions.

SALERNITANA

It has been an incredibly bad season for Salernitana, sitting at the bottom-of-the-table in Serie A and having already been relegated for some time. The visitors have burned through Paulo Sousa, Filippo Inzaghi and Fabio Liverani with current coach, Stefano Colantuono, their fifth of the campaign as they try and get through to the end of the campaign with no more drama.

The visitors have managed just two victories all season in their 35 Serie A matches. Salernitana come into this one on the back of a 2-1 loss at home to Atalanta last week with Gianluca Scamacca and Teun Koopmeiners scoring goals in the second-half to turn the game on its head after Loum Tchaouna had scored an opener.

THE TEAM NEWS

JUVENTUS

Both Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli are missing through non-footballing suspensions, whilst Mattia De Sciglio and Alex Sandro are among those sidelined through injury.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Danilo; Iling-Junior, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Cambiaso; Vlahovic, Chiesa

UNAVAILABLE: Pogba (Suspended), Fagioli (Suspended), Weah (Injured), De Sciglio (Injured), Alex Sandro (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Danilo (Injured)

SALERNITANA

Norbert Gyomber, Jerome Boateng and Antonio Candreva are all doubtful for the trip to Turin with Guillermo Ochoa among those sidelined with an injury.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Fiorillo; Pasalidis, Fazio, Pirola; Sambia, Coulibaly, Basic, Bradaric; Tchaouna, Vignato; Ikwuemesi

UNAVAILABLE: Maggiore (Injured), Kastanos (Injured), Ochoa (Injured), Gomis (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Candreva (Injured), Boateng (Injured), Gyomber (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

It has gone under the radar just how remarkably poor the current Juventus run of form really is. With just three victories in 16 matches, Juve are currently among one of the weakest teams in the league. They face a Salernitana side they defeated twice at the start of this year and this is a Salernitana side that would struggle to mount any serious challenge in Serie B, to be frank. A fairly frustrating watch for the neutral in which Juve find a way seems likely at the J Stadium.

TIP: JUVENTUS TO WIN & UNDER 3.5 GOALS
