THE PREDICTION

After dropping into the bottom two of the Bundesliga, Hertha have rolled the dice in a bid to avoid relegation by appointing Felix Magath as head coach until the end of the season. One thing’s for sure, the hosts need some sort of inspiration having lost each of their last five Bundesliga fixtures, conceding 17 goals in the process. The problem for them is that time is of the essence and it’s difficult to see Magath being able to plug Hertha’s leaky defence in time for the visit of Hoffenheim. Fresh from holding league leaders Bayern to a 1-1 draw, the visitors have gained 13 points from the last 15 available to them, combining a potent attack with a strong defence. Ultimately, they should have too much quality for this Hertha side to contain, so expect Hoffenheim to emerge triumphant.
