Maja Chwalinska vs Taylor Townsend prediction

Maja Chwalinska was able to notch up her first victory since reaching the final of Roland Garros at the Cincinnati Open, following a straight sets win over Cristina Bucsa. She was then beaten by Diana Shanider, and the Pole followed that up with another defeat at the Monterrey Open to Diane Parry. Chwalinska led after the first set but went on to lose 2-6 6-3 6-3. She has won just a single match out of a possible five since that historic run in Paris back in June.

She faces Taylor Townsend. The American impressed in Toronto earlier this month, as she beat the Czech pair of Tereza Valentova and Marie Bouzkova to advance to the third-round. She was very competitive against Belinda Bencic but lost in three close sets. Townsend then lost to world number two Elena Rybakina in the second-round of the Cincinnati Open. 

Chwalinska has been vulnerable this month, and she is likely to find it tough against Townsend, who can trouble higher ranked players on this surface.
