Atalanta vs Bologna prediction

Having been held to a frustrating goalless draw by Israeli outfit Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League play-off round tie, Gianluca Scamacca’s 72nd minute strike was enough to push them through in the second-leg. Those matches came either side of a hard-fought but strong 2-1 defeat of Sassuolo in Serie A.

Bologna will be expected to challenge for the European spots in Serie A once again this season but they began the 2026-27 campaign badly. They succumbed to a 1-0 loss at home to crisis club Lazio with a 59th minute strike from Lazio’s new signing Davide Frattesi.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are expected to lack outright fluency for a while as they learn his style and system, while Bologna appeared toothless last week despite the signing of Artem Dovbyk and so backing a low-scoring contest would seem a decent bet for this one.

Atalanta vs Bologna tip: Under 2.5 goals
